Service Providers

The PWS Network Directory of Service Providers contains program descriptions and contact information for those community-based organizations in Ontario serving individuals with developmental disabilities.  Most organizations in the Directory have supported, or are supporting, individuals with PWS.

Currently, information is provided only for Central West Region, just west of Toronto.  Similar organizations exist throughout Ontario.  Services for children with special needs are listed by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.  Services for adults with developmental disabilities are described at the Ministry of Community and Social Services.

This Directory does not include medical practitioners.  Medical support must be accessed through the family physician.  The Prader-Willi Clinic at North York General Hospital is the recognized medical authority for PWS in Ontario.

The Service Continuum

Some programs are geared to particular ages or stages; other programs are focused on specific purposes.  Agencies in this Directory provide services appropriate for individuals with PWS, though few of them specialize in this syndrome.

The Directory allows searching for a specific program in a specific community in Central West Region. There may be waiting lists to access some of these programs, due to their limited capacity.  In Ontario these programs include:

Birth to age 18:

Programs for all ages:

Respite and Residential Programs:
